I would like to acknowledge that I live and work on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of Sinixt Peoples. I make this acknowledgment to show my respect for the təmxʷulaʔxʷ (homeland), and Sinixt Nation. I feel privileged and grateful to be here, and I invite those reading this to explore their own relationship to place.

Drumming Group

We are looking for staff and students who are interested in making a traditional Indigenous hand drum and joining in a weekly drum circle Thursdays at lunch.  If you are interested and would like to sign up please see Brittany Haugen in Room 202.  When you connect with your drum you connect with Mother Earth’s heartbeat.

Connection to Culture and Community

This group is going to be focused on the traditional knowledge and teachings of Indigenous groups across Canada.  We honor the Medicine Wheel in teaching that we are all connected - there is always room for more in our circle.
