Dealing with chronic stress, anxiety, and/or difficult emotions at school can interfere with students’ ability to pay attention, learn new information, and perform at their best. Some students refuse to go to school. There are activities that can help students feel better prepared to cope mentally and emotionally with stress at school. Activities include calming strategies, mindful activities, soothing/distracting activities, self-reflecting activities and wake-me-ups/energy boosting activities.

How much time do people spend on their mobile phones in 2017? Quite a bit. Over 4 hours a day means we spend over 1/6 of our days on our phones! But it doesn’t mean we’re bad people. Mobile phones have become very practical, highly functional devices, and our usage reflects their application.
What does a day in the life of a teen social media user look like?
as soon as they get up… check and send Snapchat streaks
get to school early to check Instagram, Facebook, and any messages
in class, send messages to others… the kids called it “sneaking”
after school and once home continue to engage with friends online via their social networks or messaging apps
just before hitting their pillow to go to sleep… check for any new streaks
It’s important to note that this is a constant ongoing process from the time they wake up, until they go to bed.
