Crowe School Library provides resources in print, audio-visual and digital formats which enable students and teachers to obtain information on any topic. All access to information is online. In addition to the wealth of resources on the web, a subscription to EBSCO and Gale databases provide access to a wide range of magazines, scholarly articles, newspapers, reference books, pictures, maps, online links, TV and radio transcripts.
During this time of Pandemic Learning, the Library Learning Commons is open to one class per period. In addition, students who would like to sign out materials or return resources are welcome to do so provided they sanitize upon entering , sign in on the contact tracing sheet at the circulation desk and then locate their new items. Remember if you are at the shelves, please “eye” browse” until you determine which selection you would like. Students will sanitize upon exiting.
The Library Staff is adhering to protocols established by the BCCDC, the Ministry of Education and the provincial Teacher Librarian’s Association in order to keep everyone safe.
Those needing to print may use Room 221 (Library Lab). Changes in procedures means that students will access their documents, print to the SD20 Copier and then “release” their items at the actual photocopier. Please place a “post it note” at the station you visited.
The library is open to access reading materials and print items (but not for seating or studying) during school time.
